You can use Save for Web to export your images as 24-bit transparent PNG files and upload them to TinyPNG. To condense the QuickBooks company file, follow these steps: 1. With other versions it is impossible and Photoshop CS5 cannot even display them properly. What about Photoshop?Įxcellent question! Only Photoshop CC 2015 or newer can save images as indexed PNG files with alpha transparency. If you want to create and compress stickers under 500 KB take a look at the iMessage Panda sticker example on Github. Only Interned Explorer does not support the format yet.Īpple added animated stickers to iMessage with the release of iOS 10. Binary transparency without any workarounds! Is it safe to use animated PNG?Įxcellent question! Chrome, Firefox, Safari and now Microsoft Edge all support APNG. With TinyPNG the background becomes transparent again. ![]() Linked Clone's let me tier out the base image and the linked clone delta ata to fast disk or SSD (and single instance it so my array cache can just store a single copy of the most common base files). This along with some cache management tricks lets me run a school district's VDI images off of 15 disks. (which Citrix and VMware have integrated) you stub the profile data and only need to load it on an ad hoc basis so you don't have massive login storms from the full profile rolling into the image. The main reason I need profile virtualization is less about the OSless abstraction piece and more about the storage part. I look at it more from a performance/cost from the storage side where the features come to play. Sorry to sound like a shameless plug, but linked clones & profile virtualization are not typically as good as all that.and typically don't all come from the same product. And as a bonus, it's dead-simple administration, and rollback of problematic apps/os patches, ect. It also handles personalization layering, and storage reduction, all in one solution. Granted, Unidesk is more of an add-on to someone else's vdi, but a View/Unidesk, or Panologic/Unidesk solution is the simplest I've seen to get clean vdi managment from all angles, single os images, single app images, app layers that work with virtually any app (app-virt of all types have more limitations). Obviously being able to layer an app using Unitrends is a bit nicer :) I think we have like 5 base image's that we have pools off of, and use Thinapp for one off applications that don't justify a full base image. If you want to take a look at it, shoot me a PM I can get you setup on our demo environment. The interface feels almost overly simplified at times compared to the ridiculous amount of options that vSphere gives you for server administration. VMware's VDI management View is really easy. I've seen it negate the need for large Citrix farms. Unitrends is a lot more elegant solution though if you have groups of 8 people need this app, and 4 need this one, and this AD groups needs this app etc. or you have crazy amounts of application variety in your images. My favorite thing with Unitrends was the full profile abstraction (I've heard of people getting profiles to roam cleanly with all settings translated between XP and Windows 7 well). I really don't think I could manage a district wide deployment strictly using vmware without some management. I'm pretty much a one man shop so I need all the simplicity I can get. I'm currently looking at Unidesk to help with the vmware management. Trying to save money where we can until we have to replace units with thin clients. Thin clients, re-purposing pcs, all of the above. We're not looking at students connecting from home at this moment but that has come up in conversations so I'm sure it'll be in the works also. ![]() Are you wanting to allow students to connect to desktops from home also?Īre you wanting to use Thin clients, or re-purpose existing machines? I'd say you'd likely be fine with VMware but for Microsoft might run into issues if your students are video heavy.Ĭouple questions. With Microsoft's VDI using RemoteFX for video I've pushed over 90Mbps to a single thin client, so if you want to go the Microsoft direction I will warn you it is both CPU and Network aggressive when your pushing rich video over the network (while View can look nice with just 3Mbps going to my iPad). To be honest with you looking at traffic utilization you can get away with 100Mbps to the access layer. We run an entire district using multi-gigabit backbone's with gigabit on the access layer. I have experience with VMware View and school districts and can speak to a certain degree on it. We're looking primarily at Hyper-v and Vmware. My question is is that 100mb from switch to endpoint going to cause problems with VDI. For instance, our backbone is gigabit but several buildings still have 10/100 switches w/ gigabit to backbone and regular cat5 to the endpoint. We are a K-12 school so some of our infastructure is a little old. We are currently looking into several VDI solutions and have a couple of questions regarding bandwidth.

Judgment synonym1/5/2024 ![]() ![]() The results of the judgment are two-fold: (1) a reward received or (2) a reward lost. There is coming a time when all will be openly displayed for what one’s true motives were. While it is possible to hide the true quality of one’s service for Christ in this life, there will be a tie of reckoning for the Christian. “Every man’s work shall be made manifest” (1 Corinthians 3:13-15). This judgment is not to determine what is ethically good or evil, but rather that which is acceptable and that which is worthless/unprofitable to the work of Christ. The believer’s works are brought into judgment, called “the things done in his body” (2 Corinthians 5:10), in order that it may be determined whether they are good or bad. The purpose of the ‘Bema’ seat is to make a public manifestation of the essential character and motives of the individual Christian. Only those who are born again believers will stand before the ‘Bema’ seat of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:1-19). One day all the dead will be raised to stand before Christ (the saved through the rapture to the ‘Bema’ Judgment, and the unsaved through the final resurrection to the Great White Throne Judgment (see John 5:29 Romans 14:10-12 Revelation 20:11-151). ![]() (VINE’S EXPOSITORY DICTIONARY OF NEW TESTAMENT WORDS)įrom 2 Corinthians 5:10, John 5:22 and Romans 14:10, we are told that the judge at the ‘Bema’ seat of Christ is Christ Himself. For all that has been contrary in their lives to His will they will suffer loss of rewards (1 Corinthians 3:15). At this ‘bema’ believers are to be made manifest, that each may “receive the things done in (or through) the body,” according to what he has done, “whether it be good or bad.” There they will receive rewards for their faithfulness to the Lord. The same tribunal is called “the judgement-seat of Christ” in 2 Corinthians 5:10, to whom the Father has given all judgement (see John 5:22,27). (R.V., “of God”), according to the most authentic manuscripts. In Romans 14:10, it is called “The judgement-seat of Christ,” A.V. In the two passages (Romans 14 and 2 Corinthians 5) the term “judgement seat” Is used of the Divine tribunal before which all believers are hereafter to stand. In THAYER’S GREEK-ENGLISH LEXICON OF THE NEW TESTAMENT, we find the following definition for Bema: (1) a step, pace, (2) a raised place mounted by steps a platform, tribune: used of the official seat of a judge (see Matthew 27:19 John 19:13 Acts 18:12,16) of the Judgement Seat of Christ (Romans 14:10, 2 Corinthians 5:10). The two Greek terms translated Judgement Seat in these passages are: bemati and bematos. There are two primary passages for interpreting the Judgement Seat of Christ: Romans 14:10 and 2 Corinthians 5:10. The place of the Bema seat of Christ is placed in the sphere of the heavenlies. The ‘Bema’ seat of Christ occurs at the time immediately following the translation of the Church (“Rapture”–See 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17 and 1 Corinthians 15:51-52).

Past firelords1/5/2024 It’s a sad story, and one that has opened up the world to what it has become today. Which makes it all the more powerful when, despite returning to help, Sozin betrays Roku one final time and leaves him to die. Even as they drift apart, though, they share a bond, one that’s so strong that Sozin returns to help Roku fight the volcano. Sozin and Roku start out as such good friends, and their separate visions for the world push them apart. This sort of theme can be corny if done the wrong way, as I’m sure we’ve all seen on children’s shows, but here it’s a tearjerker. The strongest part of this episode is its themes, chief among them being that friendships are some of the strongest bonds in humanity. “Some friendships are so strong, they can even transcend lifetimes.” Elizabeth Welch Ehasz really packed the script with joys both large and small.ģ. Then there was the simple joy of seeing another Avatar in training, witnessing fire nation culture before it became a militaristic state, and hearing small things like Roku using the term “bitter work” to describe his earthbending training. Roku and Sozin’s friendship is, of course, the biggest surprise, but it was also a joy to see Roku and Gyatso having fun together. Any further dwelling on Sozin’s sins wouldn’t help the episode, and keeping them mostly unseen strengthens Roku’s surprise when he returns to see what Sozin has done.īefore we get to the real thematic meat of the episode, I want to acknowledge how many small details are packed into the script. Roku, meanwhile, has an entire journey as an Avatar to cover, along with several confrontations with Sozin where Roku is undoubtedly the hero. He betrays Roku and starts conquering nearby lands. Notably, though, the majority of the past story is told through Roku’s perspective. More than ever before, this episode depicts Zuko as one of the two main protagonists of the show. The story of Roku and Sozin’s friendship provided.įirst off, I think it’s a genius move to tell the episode in parallel: on one side, Zuko gets the information from Sozin, while on the other, Aang gets it from Roku. Welcome back for another weekly review of Avatar! This week, I needed a good cry.

Everywhere at the end of time vinyl1/5/2024 ![]() Where An Empty Bliss… evoked abstract notions of past and memory by keeping its subjects at arms-length, Everywhere… suffers in its reliance on our morbid fascination at human mortality, without any of its underlying humanity. Writing for Pitchfork in his review of 2016’s Stage 1, Brian Howe incisively begged the question of “why should we want to experience dementia by proxy, aesthetically, or even think that we can?”. The self-examination of this voyeurism is something that as a listener, one would hope the series’ is conscious of, though accusations of Kirby romanticizing a terminal illness prove hard to knock when his liner notes liken the early onset of dementia to a “beautiful daydream”. Well, not quite forgotten their re-animated form casts us in the uncomfortable role of time-travelling voyeur, as if taking a peek inside someone else’s long-lost memory.Įverywhere… suffers in its reliance on our morbid fascination at human mortality, without any of its underlying humanity. These aren’t the recordings of Ella Fitzgerald or Billie Holiday, these are songs that the passage of time has rendered discarded, forgotten. Neither, however, does Kirby ever allow us to be situated in an era familiar to us. This self-imposed stylistic debt is no cynical jab for nostalgia akin to Postmodern Jukebox’s vintage-reworked pop. All the tracks in stages 1-3 stay recognisable forms of their original samples and it’s only as we start to push the two-hour mark that the vinyl crackles begin to show. This structure, writ large, is the format of Everywhere At The End Of Time. Whilst the former maintains its jaunty, optimistic tone despite its cloud of muddying distortion, this optimism is rendered obsolete by the haunting despondency of the latter, whose pained string section is barely able to bat away the persistent drone of an amplifier and the crackle of vinyl. The opening of his breakthrough album, 2011’s An Empty Bliss Beyond This World, displays the unease characteristic of Kirby’s work in the transition between ‘Libet’s Delay’ and ‘I Feel As If I Might Be Vanishing’. ![]() Yet where vaporwave prides itself on nostalgia, on conjuring sounds and visuals that long for a time enveloping our younger selves, Kirby’s appropriation of aged aesthetics tends to have a far more unnerving agenda. At a glance, you could label Kirby’s music as having the same ‘post-modern’ sensibilities of vaporwave there’s no denying that Kirby foregrounds his relation to the musical past just as fervently as his purple-hazed, Kana-clad counterparts. Like all the work released under ‘The Caretaker’ moniker, Kirby utilises samples from pre-war ballroom jazz records, embedding it in a retrospective outlook that sits at odds with the icy futurist roboticism that so many contemporary ambient artists strive for in the quest for a ‘modern’ sound. Mastered and cut by Lupo.In March this year, James Kirby released the sixth and final installment of his album series Everywhere At The End Of Time. On Stage 3, the haunted ballroom's repertoire becomes increasingly muddled, peeling off in recursive contrails from the gestures of "Back There Benjamin", to snag on the stylus in starkly reverberant knots on "Hidden Seas Buried Deep", or worn down to calloused nubs such as "To The Minimal Great Hidden", and "Sublime Beyond Loss", all leading up to some of the project's most uncanny detachments in "Libet Delay" and the coruscating brass shimmer of "Mournful Cameraderie", which beautifully suggest the mercurial nature of memory and its recollection. These are the last stages of awareness before you enter the post awareness stages, where those memories become completely detached from comprehension. ![]() ![]() Singular memories, and all their connotations, begin to atrophy and calcify, crumbling away with each rotation of the record - sometimes in curt scene cuts, others in quietly breathtaking reverbed fizzles like tea lights extinguished, never to flicker again. Continuing to mirror the progression of dementia, using nostalgia for ballroom as an allegory of the disease, The Caretaker's musical flow in places becomes more disturbed, isolated, broken, and distant. In this crepuscular, autumnal phase, recollections phosphoresce, and wilt in advancing stages of entropic decay, steadily approaching a winter of no return. The third of a six album cycle cataloguing The Caretaker's fictional first person account of life with early onset dementia, presenting some of the last coherent memories before confusion fully rolls in and the grey mists fade away.

To be fair it's still the best multiplayer shooter even after Evolve. It's a shame as there is clearly enough potential to do a crazy/cool/fun solo campaign. It's really the best multiplayer around but I won't gave it a 10 out of 10 because there is no solo mode and that means that in a few month maybe years if the community stick with it, the servers will close and the game will have no use. In the same spirit the game received free updates with new game mode and maps, how amazing is this nowadays ? With a handful of classic multiplayer modes revisited by this colourful universe the game offers quite enough content to spend a lot of quality time (I've just earned the platinum after 25 hours of gameplay and I still want more). In the gaming industry of today most of us will be afraid when reading those words, but in THIS game the system is really fair, you don't need to buy coins to unlock the best characters, just play and you'll earn enough coins to buy dozens of them. The game works with a system of stickers and with a stickershop to unlock new characters, upgrades or skins. And here is what this game rocks, in Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare, developers respect gamers and you don't have to pay for any little thing in addition of the basic content. All are fun to play and offers some unique characteristics and nice customization. Nice cartoon graphics, very well balanced characters each with their own attribute (basically : Assault, Tank, Engineer, and Healer). Light up digital clock1/4/2024 Some alarm clocks move beyond standard displays and project the time onto the wall or ceiling for a larger, more easily readable display. For those of you who opt for a digital display, you’ll want to look for a display that's easy on the eyes and has an acceptable brightness level, which will vary from device to device – bear in mind, though, that those with automatic display brightness will stop your alarm clock lighting up your bedroom at night. You can easily find digital alarm clocks with LCD and LED displays these days, as well as retro designs with the traditional clock face and analogue quartz technology. In addition to the standard radio and buzzer options, some alarm clocks allow users to dock a media player like an iPod to play content from the device, or connect a USB stick, for a customised way to start the day. ![]() ![]() It’s also worth bearing in mind that a power outage can disrupt a mains-powered alarm clock, so ones equipped with a battery backup are well worth paying a little extra for.
